Where is the glow plug relay on a vauxhall astra?

Answers:
beside the battery is a silver finned box this is the glow plug timer relay this is on an Astra g 98 -04
all diesel engines have one!
normally in the engine near battery
if there's a panel under your steering wheel try there
Cant say exactly where it is located on the astra but if you turn the ignition on, wait until the light goes out in the dash and at the same time listen for a loud click which is the noise the relay makes as it times out, you may be able to find the box. It should be a fairly large box with heavier than usual wiring going into it. You could also try tracing the wiring back from the heater plugs to the relay. At a guess, i would think that Vauxhall locate their relays in the engine compartment up around the bulk head.
