How can i know if a used car to buy has a criminal record?

Answers:
You have to be very careful. I've heard that some cars have been to prison more often than we have had hot dinners. If the car looks a bit shifty or can't look you straight in the face then chances are it was previously a bank robber.
huh?
Your question doesn't make any sense!
ask the dealer for carfax report
If you are looking for a cars history go here
This is a free selection of data held by Vehicle Registration Number database about the vehicle registration entered.
https://www.rac.co.uk/web/vehiclechecks/.
Take it to a Police Station and ask the desk sergeant if he has ever arrested your car before.
I don't know of any criminal cars, but the owners might have been.
Get a HPI check,
once your cars registered in your own name and address your cars clear anyway.cars arent criminals, criminals are.
ask at the motor vehicle department what its history is
Whatever you mean, get it HPI'd, which should cheack that it isn't stolen or written off.
DVLA
You mean the car has commited a crime??
you need to get a HPI check http://www.hpicheck.com/newfrontend/. that will basically tell you everything about a car, if its missed being taxed, ever been stolen, ever been in an accident, ever been impounded etc etc. basically will tell you every minor litlle detail about your veichle, but beware its not free!! lol, anywhere you go will charge you money to hpi check a car. hope this has been of some help to you :D
People have criminal records and not Cars! If you are referring to a history of the car if its been stolen or been involved in an accident, then get a HPI check done, AA, RAC most car places do it for a charge.

If it is a expensive car get a AA or RAC check done, they come out and inspect the car and find all the faults, costs money though.
What do you suspect the car has done? Mugged an old lady, held up a petrol station?
Go on the AA website and get a Car Data Check for £35. It will at least tell you if the car has been involved in an insurance claim, write off or has even changed it's colour. Criminal!
For a fee you can contact a a firm called Equifax who can give you a run down on the vehicle history and they have a guarentee that if they **** up and get it wrong they compensate you
