Who likes cyclists?
Answers:
I generally tend to like the cyclists when they have just bounced off the side of my Land Rover Defender and hit a wall or a lamp-post.
The rest of the time i despise them.
oooh me! what legs!
but i hate the pavement loving, traffic light ignoring, pedestrian killing type
undertakers.
i would love to run them down.was that what you meant? i consider them target practice..lol
Only if they are in tight lycra, and have a really cute a r s e!
I don't hate them all..but just the ones that do what you say!
PS Yes OK that's most of them.
If we sacrifice one every week, it should keep the rest in line.
I hate them . They hog the roads by riding in bunches and they squeeze down the sides of our cars whilst we are waiting at traffic lights. They don't have any insurance so if they run into you or damage your car you have no one to claim off and have to pay for the repairs yourself. They are a menace on the roads (UK) I even saw them racing down the A1 which is a very dangerous road ! Morons.
As long as they aren't males shaving their legs.
You know me.
To know me is to love me.
I don't mind as long as they stay on the cycle paths, I am not so keen on horse riders on busy roads. Think they should stay where its safe.
love them -unless they are cycling when i am driving and i have to pass them. hate them then
Love them.
i dont like them but i dont hate them sure its great excercise for you but i just wished they would obey the law like the rest of us not all wear safety helmets this should be made compulsory and what really annoys me is the always jump red lights the laws apply to them to if we jump a red light we get fined
stop congestion on the roads and mow down a cyclist every day .within two weeks no cyclists, loads of drivers locked up ,no congestion.
In certain parts of America they, along with motorcyclists (in particular) are called DONERS!! I once heard of a case in California where somebody was waiting for an organ transplant, but the organ she needed wasn't available. The surgeon stated after telling her this; "but its raining so it shouldn't be long!". I thought this had to be a joke for years, but after hearing 11 people tell me this is a real situation I still think its a joke, but shows how people on any sort of bike are seen!
Isn't it cars that hog the roads? Look at the levels of congestion in London before and after the congestion charge. More cars = more congestion, i.e. cars hog and clog the roads, not cyclists.
You shouldn't assume all cyclists ride as though they are above the law. There are lots of cyclists who ride perfectly reasonably, much more reasonably than people drive cars.
I bet that half the people here who are complaining that cyclists break road laws are guilty of driving over the speed limit, undertaking on a motorway, driving on curbs to park, stopping in bus stations to allow people to get in or out of the car etc.
It's easy to find fault with others, but not so easy to admit your own.
they make me laugh!! try chasing them on cycle paths on busy roads in ya car they will make you laugh too lol
i hate the arrogant bastads,we should get 3 point removed from our licence for every one we hit
It isn't cyclists who are the problem, it is the lack of infrastructure in this country. In The Netherlands there are separate cycle lanes/roads away from the main motor traffic. Here we have to use the ordinary roads which are often not wide enough.
I do agree that cyclists should not jump red lights or ride in the dark without lights and those that do should be prosecuted the same as a car driver doing the same would be.
On some occasions I have been known to ride on the pavement if it is unsafe to be on the road, but only in areas where pedestrians never use the pavements.
So I guess in answer to your question, yes I hate the cyclists who behave in the way you describe, but not all of us behave like that. I enjoy cycling as a cheap, eco-friendly, exercise and wish that it was a safer way to travel in this country.
I dont mind them but they are annoying when they do those things you said.
There's one in particular I love to bits.
Love one, love them all.
