wel im from ireland and i was importing stuff for a while and the only time i got caught for vat or tax was when i got the stuff sent over by fed ex.if u just get sum1 to post it over and it does not go over the weight restrictions then ul just get de goods no problem no vat no tax (no money back no guarantee had to be put in for del trotter)

Imported a yank classic car and had to pay a percentage of the value to Customs and Excise for import duties. Cant remember what the pecentage was? something like £200. on a £2500. car. Best check with Customs & Excise.
