Should all electric mobility scooters carry a yellow flashing beacon for safety reasons?
Answers:
These can be dangerous in the wrong hands. As well as the beacon they should have reversing sounds as someone recently reversed over a man in our local supermarket. He was on crutches so couldn't get away in time and the driver said oh didnt see you there - well they wouldnt as they weren't even looking in the direction they were traveling. They need training on how to drive these things as i see it happening all the time.
No. Bicycles and skateboards are more of a danger.
Yes.Even electric mobility scooters don't travel that fast but when you're in a crowded place, you need to indicate your direction so that people will be aware of.Safety first.
no damn way !!!!!bad enuf we got to ride them .a flag works
Yes!
They're driven by maniacs bitter at those in society who's legs work!
slow moving vehiles are required to use the flashing amber beacon on dual carriageways but not on other roads- but yeah, probably a good idea!
Plus a 'caution-this vehicle is reversing' warning.
Dunno bout that but they should take a competency test or summat. Never seen road rage but scooter rage.wow!
No, but they should take a theory and driving test before they are let loose on the pavements.
No a quick poke in the ribs with my walking stick usually works.
