Has your key fob stopped working?
If your key fob has just stopped working try this:
Unlock your vehicle with the key in the drivers door lock, do not open the door.
Press the right hand button lock button (the button with the padlock symbol or the dimpled button) on the key fob 4 to 8 times.
If the above fails try this:
Open the key fob
Remove the battery
Press any button 10 ten times, and the same with the other button
Refit the battery or a new battery
Unlock the vehicle with the key in the drivers door lock, do not open the door
Press the right hand button lock button (the button with the padlock symbol or the dimpled button) on the key fob 4 to 8 times
just park it anywhere in manchester - it will be deactivated in less than 3 seconds, door opened in 15 seconds - stereo gone in 30 seconds - and the car gone in 60 seconds !!
If you have a manual with the car it will tell you how to do this using the key in the drivers door , in my old rover i had to turn the key left 3 times then right twice then left again 3 times or something like that ?
in the end i just took it to an electrical engineers garage and had the immobiliser bypassed because it was something like 4 times cheaper than repair .
In the service book somewhere there should be an instruction as to how many times you turn the key to the left and then the right to overcome the lack of a remote operation. Mine has anyway!
It may just be that the battery in the remote is flat try replacing it but watch out for loosing the chip that is in there and is loose.

Half a gallon of petrol & a match should be all you need to stop the problem your talking about?
