Is this good value ?

Peugot 206 Lx 1.2 litre petrol 3 door, 145,000 miles @ €3500 (approx £2700.).
is this good value or is it too dear ??

Answers:
It s far too expensive, even if the 145 000 were km and not miles! By the way, it d have been useful to indicate how many hp it has, Peugeot codes generally work with hp codes but i guess it s the 60 or 75hp engine.

As you indicated the price in Euros, you probably plan to buy it in the Eurozone, so I looked up the price at the DAT Schwacke list for Germany (those prices generally are too high).

So the price gap for a 2000 206 (60-75hp) with about 100 000 km (!) should be between 2200- 3200 € (approx. 1550- 2250 quid)

Be careful with online searches, cars are mostly overpriced there (the folks just try)
no
very much tooooooooooooooo dear.
Might aswell buy a skip from your local DIY store instead .for a fraction of the cost.
depends what year it is but with 145,000 miles i would stay well clear or of it(i work in the motor trade by the way)
bit to much, what year is it? the mileage is very high. i wouldn't buy a car with millage that high, you don't know when the engines going to give up
I think it's too expensive.
Caz, the 2 main factors determining the value of a car, are the mileage, and the year. You havent given us the year, but I wouldnt touch any french car with that many miles on the engine. Get something japanese.
i would say a little dear try some where eles
Nope, keep trying.
too dear,dear.
way way o.t.t. !!!!!!!
Don't bother with it its a bad investment
no way on this earth wud i go near it wiv a barge pole
Too expensive
Far, far too dear for the mileage.
a 3-year-old car is worth between 30 and 50 percent of its purchase price. at 7 years old, 15 to 20 percent.
For a 1999 that is astronomical money. And with a high mileage too thats even worse!! £1750 tops is that cars true value. French cars do a good job of losing their value, so you have to bear in mind you will lose a lot of value quite quickly too.

I hope this helps.
way too much. a 7 yr old car, french doesn't help as they aern't built well and the fact it has 145,000 miles is a car that is sadly dead. the engine will be on its last legs, don't forget about parts that may need replacing, we are talking thousands on repair, even a new engine. the seller would get nothing if he sold it in a garage. you would be foolish to buy it. i'd pay 500 pounds, no more.
