How can I purchase a used car in Europe, and bring it back to the UK?

Is there anything special I would need to worry about in order to do this?

Answers:
Try e-Bay
just drive it up on the ferry.. show your passport,, papers of ownership if asked..
When importing anything you have to pay VAT.
Yes you can.

You need to register the car with the DVLA as soon as you import it to the UK. You will need a certificate of export from the country you bought it. You will then be issued an import certificate and this along with a valid MOT cert will allow you to tax and insure it.

It is alot of hassle and paperwork but if you are saving alot of money by importing then go for it.

Good luck and happy motoring.
