Recent court case on speed cameras, what was outcome?

It was recently reported on the news that there was a court case regarding the use of civilians for catching people speeding and the legalities of civilians carrying this out on behalf of the police. Does anyone know the outcome of this or is it still ongoing?

Answers:
I have read of studies that show speed cameras raise city revenue and are likely to cause more accidents.
If this was regarding informing the revenue collectors who was driving, then the decision was deferred, and should be resolved (If i remember correctly) November 11th?
Apparrently it is going to be tried out. Personally I think its wrong, I think the police should do what they are paid to do and not cut costs by allowing volunteers or civilian staff to do their work for them once again cutting costs

Where are the police? in our area they are virtually invisible!!
