Is it a legal requirement for an LGV vehicle to carry a spare wheel?

Answers:
It is not a legal requirement. Most LGVs do not carry spares for several reasons: amongst others it decreases the nett (payload) weight of the vehicle, in some cases 3 different wheels and tyre types would be needed, there are serious health, safety and insurance issues involved.
I am sure it must be it is comman sense for every one to carry one but larger viacles may need more than one ??
No as many LGV have 2 different sizes of wheel and also the inner and outer wheel of any 4 wheel axle are physically different.
No
more like a spare tyre or two.
YES
A lot of companies find it cheaper to send a tyre repair service out to a puncture than to let each vehicle carry a spare.
no there is no law about carrying a spare on any vehicle it comes down to comman sense . spares don't even come into the mot test (in the uk anyway)
Its certainly prudent to do so.
no its not but if its on the road it needs visible tread pattern over the Central threequaters of the nominal width
