What is the top speed of a Seat Leon 1.4 16v s? are they quick?

Thinking of buying one 5 years old also are there any major problems that may occur? Thanx.

its a 1.4 for christ sake. it aint gonna be quick, unless your lining up agains a panda. there solid cars though. look after it and it'll run forever. i have a seat arosa i.4 16v. i've had 105 mph out it. but it takes an eternity. and thats half the size of a leon.
Haven't heard about this engine in the León. But in México it comes with a 1.8 turbo engine, what's that? It uses the same engine of the AUDI TT! So just imagine! Yes man, it is a quite cool vehicle the only issue I have heard about it is that the engine is so powerful that after a year or a year and a half, if you really used the clutch "sprinting" the engine to car supports must be replaced.
105 mph not quick generally reliable .Soytotomo is talking crap this is not the same engine fitted to an Audi TT.
Never owned one but head they are ok, nothing special other than looks. They are reliable though.

On a good day with dry conditions possibly in the region of ninety, but at five years old it may have seen much better days.
Unfortunately you'll never actually achieve the proper top speed of a car because of the speed limiters they put on them. I reckon you'd get somewhere around 105/110mph on a LONG stretch of clear road with no police or speed cameras around though.
based on a golf fairly bullet proof just the normal checking of the tyres brakes crash damage the odd electrical fault about 110 ish not over quick but if you want pure speed you are buying the wrong size engine
