What is the difference between the suzuki gsxr 1000 k1 and the gsxr 1000 k2?

Answers:
Suzuki, like all other Japanese manufacturers, have made modifications every year since 2001. If i remember rightly, the bodywork stayed the same but the fuelling was given a different map (smoother but more power) and weight savings were made on various components. K1 meant 2001 year, K2 2002, K3 2003 etc. Major change in K5 and a major change for the K7 (comes with three 'power' levels)!
the number . right at the end?
The k2 would be a revision of the K1 so roughly the year it was produced. (and possibly small modifications to enhance the bike.eg larger intake valves, revised suspension components, blah blah blah)
The Name?
k1 is 2001 and k2 is 2002
the k1 is a 2001 model and k2 2002 model but they come in the same colours
No major changes, just the age in this case. The biggest changes were from the k1 from the previous model.
