How to change sparking plugs on 1600cc VW polo (year 2000)?

Answers:
Using a deep socket, unscrew them (anti clockwise) then get your new ones and screw them back in (clockwise) be carefull not to over tighten them.
SPARK not Sparking plugs! Turn them out with a ratchet and put new ones back in!
Turn it upside down and they will fall out. Then simply stick one back into each hole.
If it has four thick plug wires you can see going into the engine, then pull the wires off one at a time, by the rubber boot, and change the plugs.

If you don't see the wires, then you may have individual coils, in which case I would suggest taking it in, or getting help from a knowledgeable friend.

It doesn't sound like you know too much about auto maintenance, but you can certainly learn.

Make sure wherever you buy the plugs from that they give you the spark gap and check them, or ask if they can check them.
