Once you've paid a deposit on a car how long should the garage keep it for you why you are sorting the money?

Answers:
There is no set time frame , unless you have said you will return within a certain time , however most car lots will give up to 2 weeks , before assuming you're not coming back , after which you will loose your deposit , unless you contact them to let them know when you're gonna pay the balance , either way you will probably find that the deposit is non-refundable anyway , best advise don't leave a deposit till you have the money to pay the balance
It depends on the agreement you have with them. You are obliged though, to get the balance to them as soon as possible as they may be able to sell the car to somebody else. If this is the case, you will have your deposit returned.
You will have arranged his with the garage when you paid your deposit. It is generally a good idea to get your finances in place before you get to the stage of paying a deposit to them.
They have to keep it for you untill you have the remainder of the money unless it gives you a time frame in the contract
The agreement is a verbal one unless you have been given another document that states the time you have.

If it is for a Used car they will want to turn it over asap so get a move on. Depending what kind of a dealer they are they may still have a price in it to sell to someone who can pay straight away.
It depends whether you went through their finance company or not, it usually takes about a week, the deal to go thru with the finance company and the garage to do a service and checks on your new car, thats if they are legitimate and not cowboys. Used to work in a car sales garage.
it can be 1 week 2 weeks or 4 weeks it depends on the dealer
a week usually unless you have agreed a time and its on the invoice.
