Any mechanics out there? I need a rough repair quote.?

I've got a little 3-door Rover hatch-back. Someone hit me from behind at a T junction on Saturday, I told the guy I'd get a quote for repairs so he could see if he could afford it before he claimed on his insurance.

I need a new rear bumper and boot door/back window (it's all one piece) and may be new side panel. Oh and as the boot needs replacing, the locks on the front doors need replacing too!

As it's a Rover and they're now defunked, I obviously can't find a Rover garage to do the repairs!

Can anyone give me an educated guess on parts and labour costs?

(if you need any more info, just let me know and i'll add it to the question)

Cheers

this sounds like a lot of damage . your best bet is to take it to an accident repair garage and let them quote you . just put it in the hands of your insurance company let them find all the parts and get your car repaired to the condition it was prior to him hitting you . it wont cost you anything as it was his fault just make sure youve got all his details
specific year ? is the frame bent ? . . . hope you know this guy .can you still drive it . to a reputable collission repair shop .thier price might be high but you'll have your ball park .then you can shop around . older you may need to take it to a hot rod shop where mods or parts can be made to order .
You've answered your own question: Range Rover.
Parts will be scarce, and I'll bet a dollar they need to be ordered from England f you need door. the window, not as big of a deal.
the best thing that you can do is call a salvage yard and ask them for the parts and the price and then you can give the guy that hit you the estimate. The insurance people are going to get them from the salvage yard to, so you might as well be first in asking.
I'm not sure here if you need the front locks changed because of the shunt you had or just because the key will be different?
If it's because of the accident then you may as well get on Ebay for a new car (it may have bent the chassis), if not the barrel of the rear lock just needs to be removed and fitted to the new rear door.1/2hr work.
Going back to it, a replacement car may be cheaper off ebay than for work to be done!Don't know how old your car is?
Hope you got his insurance details! Even if you don't use them what if he doesn't pay up!
Oh and about that whiplash, get to the doctor and tell him your neck hurts. If nothing else you've registered the complaint! And the insurance may just pay for your car..
Don't forget the paint has to be matching so a new paint job and cut in may cost another £200-£300.
