Good question. I work nights as a nurse. We're changing our night shifts from 9pm till 7.30 am to 7.30 pm till 8 am (12 1/2 hrs but paid for 12). I think that this is the maximum number of hours you can work in one shift, day or night. As for the number of shifts in a row I can't help. We have to do 6 nights per month.
Do you mean age? If so if you are under the age of 18 you can only work until 10 pm at night. As far as how much can you work at night it is like the other poster said you can work up to 12-16 hours in a day.
Most places expect you to be over the age of 18 but some companys prefer you to be over 21! However i dont think you can work more than six nights in a row..
depends on which stat you live in, but the most you can work in one night is twelve hours, because after thet, it turns into daytime. In texas, you can work as long as you want, as much as you want. there is no limit.

Depends on the country and or state you live in. Check your local labor counsel for requirements. If your in the states by law the employer must place rules and regulations up on the wall. If your answer is not on the posters you'll be able to contact the authorities clearly marked on the poster to give you an answer.
there are guidelines on this someplace it all to do with age i think i read once that under 18 or 21 were not to work anymore than 11 hours and had to have 13 hr break before going back on duty above that was 13 hr with break of 11 hr but nobody seems to stick to these
Most laws regarding hours state that you cannot exceed 20 consecutive working hours. This is also dependant on the company that you work for. I work a rotating 12 hour shift and the most the company will let us work is 18 consecutive hours.
