When it is snowing so bad that I cant get to work, how do the people who drive the snow plows get to theirs?
Answers:
Most Snow plough drivers are allowed to take their ploughs home with them for obvious reasons.
Quite often a plough will become part of the family and on cold nights when the snow is more likely the ploughs are often bought into the house to keep warm and ensure they are ready for the cold weather in the morning.
Many plough drivers give their ploughs pet names and covet them like a family pet
If you think about it, it is a rubbish company car, because you can hardly pop down the shops with it or take the family out unless it is actually snowing.
If I could have one I would love it
Hope this helps
they use magnets mirrors and an ingenious use of pulleys
I think they keep the snow plows in thier hoem garages?
bloody good question you're a genius
in a tiny snow plough
They either get there before the predicited snowfall or they have 4x4 trucks.
they have to report to work before the snow storm starts
there is allways 1 guy at the depot watching the forcast & if its going to be bad he phones all the rest of the guys to go to work , then they find a lay-by & go to sleep for @ 4hours ,then dump the salt and go back to depot
They keep their snow ploughs at home in their garage.
If you spell snow plows like that how do you pronounce the Scots snah-pleuchs, as in Aberdeenshire, I wonder. At the back of Bennachie they sleep in theirs, semper paratus.
can you say 4-WHEEL DRIVE..besides i think it is easier to drive on roads that haven't been plowed. once they are plowed it seem like they get slick. my dad works for the state and you should here him complain about the stuff they make them put on the road, how he doesn't think it does any good.haha too funny
They probably have snow shoes , skis or a snowmobile , unless they keep a helicopter in the back yard. Seriously, they probably are employed by the city council and someone with a 4x4 would pick them up to take them to the depot where the snow ploughs are kept.
Maybe they have an overnight shift, and they go get the other workers to come in.(I'm glad I don't work for them.
Most have 4 x 4's with studded tires and chains.but usually they are called out before it's too bad. And some do take the snowplow home when the forecast is for snow, especially in rural areas.
GREYDAYS..you crack me up..lol
