In the next 12 to 18mnths plan to change cars at the moment driving a 2ltr auto Focus estate,has to be auto because of gammy right leg,and would prefer diesel or alternative fuel car same type and cc,Any recomendations please.Fords say they dont do auto diesel or alternate fuel so it will be a big change for me driven mostly Fords as family car.

Well, diesel are actually going to be harder to find starting in 2007. The Fed government has changed emissions laws, and it makes it a lot more expensive for automakers to produce diesel engines, so a lot of diesel cars are going to disapper. From what I hear, VW might be putting the only diesels on the road next year, and even they have cut way back.
You can always look into one of the hybrids, a Ford Escaps, Honda Civic, Toyota Prius, something like that.
