Insurance is WAY too high.help!?
I have tried all of the companies who are on tv.admiral is the cheapest, norwich union and theives (almost 4 grand for a fiat punto!!), sheilas wheels and diamond are expensive too.
Does anyone have any suggestions of cheap car insurance providers?
Answers:
i am with bell direct and i have full no claims when i bought my wife a car i put her with the same company and they matched my bonus.
it helps if you can put even you dad on your insurance as a named driver.
Perhaps it is that high because you are driving a new car.
Endsleigh were always cheapest when i was younger. Try them but be careful, if you get a quote and give your phone number they'll ring you all the time! Having said that speaking to them in person often means they'll get the quote even lower than the online one.
go to www.confused.com
Try http://www.confused.com they helped me its a comparison site
Try www.confused.com - they try pretty much all the online insurance companies for you, which saves you filling in loads of forms - if it's still way to expensive though all i can suggest trying is get a car mag - there will be loads of ad's in the back - get calling.they can be cheaper for certain groups of drivers (i.e. young, modified cars, with convictions etc) but is a pain to have to call round loads getting quotes!
Drive better.
challenge churchill
I suggest move away form the states and move to Canada it is way cheaper up here.. you can thank the Republican party for those prices
Grab the yellow pages, ring every 0800 car insurance number. Try joining a fiat car forum and they might have club discounts available.
I'm not sure about the difference between US and British insurance; do you have collision insurance on your policy? If you have an older car, it's really not worth the money. Or get a high deductible.
er think it was directline that was offering a named driver policy that allowed the named driver to build up their own no claims..soo. you could get one of your folks/good friend to insure the car in their name and include you as a named driver.. bound to be cheaper and you would be building your own no claims.
insurance. what a fecking ripoff business!
GL
Get a bike.
had you noticed that they ask how much you have been quoted for the insurance? have you ever heard the word lie? like someone else said, get the yellow pages and call all the 0800 numbers and when they ask how much you have been quoted tell them £1245 or any number what comes in your head but dont overdo it. as they say at weight watchers.. watch the pounds drop off LOL
Confused .com is the best way ..they returned me a whole list of different prices ranging from Saga at £155 to the RAC AT £605 some savings there .
try a curfew with morethan
Try elephant.co.uk. i have found them to be the cheapest for me. Also put another named driver on your insurance. Someone experienced like your parents especially if they have had no claims in the last 5 years.
One more thing check out the RAC or AA websites for tips on lowering insurance.
Hope that helps.
Try buying a car with a smaller engine. £1400 sounds like a quote for a gti.
When I was 19 I ran through a quote for a 306 gti6 and that only came up at £950. And given that it is faster and more expensive than a punto, you must live in a bad area or have a super tuned punto.
do ur pass plus n go with admiral. i guarantee you'll save hundreds! i did. they brought me down from 3600 to 1400. i was then a male aged 19.

Try http://www.tesco.com or http://www.directline.com or just be a named driver on the car and have the main driver as one of your parents. So if you get own car make sure the registered keeper is the parent who will be the listed as the main driver. When you are 21 you be the main driver.
Try 'Hyperformance'. Don't have any contact details but put a search in and i'm sure you'll soon solve that problem.
hey try CIS motor insurance i think u will get a cheap quote. Another thing i want to recommend is go to www.autotrader.co.uk and go to the car insurance bit and click for a new quote. They will find you a cheap quote by comparing other companies so u don`t have to keep filling in online information about yourself lol been there done it. CIS or Chaucer Budget insurance, chaucer are the writers. Let me know how u get on because i don`t like it when people make money out of us so i always want to help. Good luck xx
have you tried tesco or bell. both got websites. tesco is always cheap and bell is for young drivers with low or no no claims.
try quinn direcet, and if you value you car under 2500 euro YOUR INSURANCE WILL BE MORE EXPENSIVE.my quote dropped by 800euro by just telling the car was worth 2500euro.
I have always found A Quote very good.A Fiat Punto at £1400 is a bit steep. Look at the area you live. I f your Granny lives in the sticks, register and insure the car there. Take an advanced driving test is another option. This silly amount should drop a lot next year after a years no claim bonus.Or sell the Punto and buy a group one insurance car. Trade up after 2 years. Finally, you could go as a named driver on your parents insurance and earn a discount that way. Good luck.
I'm 27 and I was being quoted about £1000 I managed to get it for £450 with PNCB. I tried Hastings direct 1066.
nobody beat them
you migth want to take a pass plus course. this cover the driving you could not do while you were learning. i suggest that you ask your driving instructor about. it may help to bring down you insurance quote
I've always found churchill to be the cheapest for me.. but I've been driving since I was 17. For the first year I was on my mum's insurance while I gained experience, and then found it easier to get cheaper insurance. But don't expect your premiums to start falling until you've got a few years experience and some no claims.
