Im looking to buy a honda civic type r.. are they any good?

ive never owned a nearly new car so whan i get it it should be right for me

Answers:
Good??!?! they are awesome- absolutely awesome

Some questioning could be asked about the grouping of their gear ratios but good god damn the acceleration and handling is unparalled in every car of its class

Buy one- you will have a smile and speeding tickets that will last for years!

Should clairfy that I am talking about the R Type not the S or any others and good grief the turning circle is appaling but when you can do a 72 point turn in 3 seconds who cares.

No idea what the new modal is like but va va voom the old one is a ****ing ripper! buy it!!
the look is fab i dunno bout the car itself do sum research onit via google.it should help
My mate's got one - awesome power, great reliability, look good, but got the turning circle of a large tanker.

Assume you are not talking about the new shape!
The car is out of production right now. If you are looking for a used car, then here's the deal: The engine is an absolute screamer and it's the best part of the entire package. The rest of the car is quite good too. Handling freaks are not too excited about the steering on the car, but the gearbox is a pleasure to work. It only comes as a two door.
We used to have a civic but prefer the jazz sport - so we changed!
Honda Civic is a pretty good car. They're reliable, and good on gas.
What "Athan" said about it being only a 2 door is absolutely not true.
All Honda cars are very good.

I hope this helps.
Buy American made products.
Wait for the new model that will be out in the next month or so. When it comes out it will make the old model look so out of date.
Can't really go wrong, it's Honda after all.
heap of scrap!dont even go there!
The Type-R has recently gone out of production, soon to be replaced by a hot version of the new Civic range. That might just bring down the used values of the old cars a bit.

A lot of people and journalists have praised this car, but it it at it's best when the VTEC system kicks in at higher revs. Porbably one of the better handling front-wheel drive hot hatches too.

As for colours, I think 'Milano Red' is a fine choice, but I don't know if that was available after the car was mildly updated in '03.
depends on what you're looking for in a car. if performance is a priority, then no.
this car is amazing, very fast and absolutly stunning if you get one in black, however, and im sorry to say this, but, even a 2nd hand one is unbelievably expensive and dont even get me started on how much they cost to insure!!
