Dead battery
Faulty Alternator
try the alternator
Alternator/generator.
charge your battery
There is many different things in which this could be,get the altwrnator checked, check tjat your battery is not dead or get someone who knows what they are doing to check the fuses. I found that a fuse the size of my thumb nal stoped my car starting or anything working, it will amaze you when you find out how small a part is and the major role it plays.
The alternator is broken or the belt that drives it has snapped is more likely.
That meant your car was running on the juice in the battery only to generate the spark, run the fan for the heater, the lights etc and it has gone flat.
A belt is cheap and easy to repair genrally with a spanner or socket set possibly a screwdriver to remove any covers. An alternator is almost as easy but more expensive.
That's about all it can be really.
This phenomenon is often associated with the close proximity of UFOs. If there is a persistent blue glow and low buzzing noise, then on no account attempt to leave your car!
Alternatively, it could be your partner fiddling with the car, thus attempting to make a private opportunity for some fun on the road!
Either way, keep your legs crossed and think of England!
It could be just the main fuse ?, you would have got a warning light if battery was not charging !.
I had this problem on a Mini - the battery connector had come off!
