Are Turbo powered cars more reliable these days?

Answers:
turbo diesels are bullet proof, I have all TDs on my fleet and they run to 300,000 without a problem.

Petrol turbos need good and regular oil changes using Mobil 1 at 6000 miles maximum, and when you have had a fast run, allow them to tick over for a minute before you turned off the ignition to allow the turbo to cool down
They are so common place these days you are probably in a minority if you don't have one. My last 5 vehicles have had turbos and I havent had trouble with any of them. Just make sure you change the oil on a regular interval and use good quality oil. These things spin far higher than you'd like to know, so the moving parts need looking after.
I bloody well hope so as I expect my taxi to do 500,000 miles, but having said that I ran a few turbos cars in the eighties and never had a problem, quality oil is the answer and letting the turbo run down before switching off.
Only if you don't abuse them
much more common now
