When I drive through a tight space I hold my breath as if my car will breathe in too!!?

Does anyone else have any strange or unexplainable driving habits?

Answers:
I do that too!! And I duck down when I'm going under a barrier to a car park or under a bridge! I always thought it was just me. I know there's no reason to do it but i can't help myself!
NO , IT'S A WOMAN THING
ha kind of i tend to be very quite when moving through very small spaces
Does it help and the car does breathe in? If not now that you are aware of what you are doing you are on the way to dropping that habit.

No one else has any strange habits - only you. I certainly don't have any for sure.
lol yes i do that as well,
i also drive faster to get to the petrol station when i have no petrol left, the complete opposite thing to do.lol
When I was learning I used to close my eyes going throught tight spaces.
no that's a man thing!
LOLOL I do that too! That's so funny!
My car does that but I dirve Herbie. Lindsey was nice enough to give me her magical little car after she shot the movie. Thanks, Lindsey! ;o)
You may have an OCD
Did you know that braking also makes the car narrower! I usually get those people in front of me, one day I'll end up in someones boot ! Sigh! lol
It's definitely a woman thing - my wife can concentrate much better if poking out her tongue!
Whenever I drive into a car park that has an " Overhead Barrier " I always bob my head down , going under it and don't for the life of me , know why !
driving under a low bridge or into a car park and ducking your head as you go under?
It's empathy - women have it, men don't.
When driving round bends, I lean into them.
I dont suffer from that - I have no space awareness problems!!
(However, my mum does that to me when Im driving through width restrictors and it drives me insane - she also has an invisible emergency brake she slams her feet into when Im driving - that also drives me insane!!)

But, whenever I change lanes where there are cats eyes present on the road, I have to cross in between the cats eyes, for some reason I dont like to actually go over them (and thats not cos I think they are real cats OR eyes - I simply have to drive between them as oppossed to over them!)
i do the same becuase the let on er s in a bit of a rush , so i aim and shut my eyes and laught really loud ,
Hi
Not Sure about cars breathing in. A few years ago I was following a mate of mine down to Matlock Bath in Derbyshire. He was on a Suzuki 750, I was on a Honda 500. As we were overtaking traffic along the 7 Sisters Gorge. His bike must have breathed in to get through the Gap between a car and an oncoming Bus.

Luckily, both of us are older and wiser now!
Breathing in increases your size. So breathing outs the answer!!

I only use the first 3 gears when i drive, so when i come to sell my car i can advertise that it has "2 unused gears"
Maybe you shouldn't be driving.
i do the same
i also tend to look well into the distance, and not at the space i'm driving through
