Wot would be the best sports car to get with two kids?

my miss doesn't wont me to get one because she says its to fast i think a golf v5 would be better for now do u

Answers:
Depends what the trade-in value of two kids is.
You got kids now. Be responsible. Think of safety.
Volvo 270C convertible..safety for the family, fun for you, left over from last year so price should be reasonable
you should get a Chevy Colbolt
McLaren F1 - it had 3 seats!
You want a sports car with kids? Are you mad? If you want to drive like a boy racer buy 2 cars. A sensible safe family car and then a 'I want to kill myself by driving like an eejit' car.

Buy british.. get a rover. :D
A Golf, Bora or Passat V5 is NOT a Sports car, it is a slightly souped up version of a normal car.
Good luck at the traffic light Grand Prix, you will certainly win against normal cars but will be left for dead by a real Sports car.
Sports cars have a lot of grunt under the bonnet and BHP in excess of 200bhp
I bet dealers love your sort
how about a Passat

you could drive it fast without the kids like I do
There are a few sports cars that are 2+2 which will do if your kids are smallish.Try the Mazda RX8,sporty and has 4 doors and a good size in the back considering, sleek as well as fast too, even though it has a 1300cc engine..its a Wankel engine though so equivalent to around a 2 litre normal i think

I hope this helps.
Given your suggestion of a Golf V5, then I assume you're looking for a fast sporty car. It's perfectly understandable that as a father you still want a sporty, yet somewhat practical car.

My favoured suggestion, although a million miles away from the Golf in image, is the Volvo C70. The new one is a hard top convertible with plenty of room in the back for kids yet still enough style to look good without them. Although there are no Euro NCAP results yet, Volvo's always score favourably on them, with all the new ones scoring 5* on them from 2004. So you can reassure your wife with that!

However, this said, the 2004+ Golf also scored 5*. If you want a car that you wife won't think of as sporty, there is always the Focus, again with 5* NCAP for kid's safety, yet the sporty ones are nothing to be sniffed at (RS and ST).

Hope that helped, if not, then I hope I was at least informative!
