Im after a restricted 600 bandit but wonder how the performance ie.max speed and aceleration will be effected?

im after a 600 not a 250 or somthing smaller because soon i will b 21 and just need to take a advanced test and thought it would be cheaper to restrict it then just take it off instead of buying a 250 then selling it a year on for a bigger bike.

Yes it will be restricted, but depending on your riding style (rev happy?) it shouldn't be too much of a problem. A restricted 400 would make more sense as the 600 Bandit is fairly heavy for it's size. Reliable as f**k though.
yes as its restricted you'll be well down on power and top speed best bests buy a 400 thats less restricted and weighs a bit less
it,ll pull about 110mph about a second slowerer on the 1/4 mile
Why waste your money buying 2 bikes. You also don't need a restricted bike. Just don't turn the throttle to wide open, in each gear. The bike runs perfectly fine with 1/2 throttle and low rpm's. Just because it has a lot of power and speed doesn't mean you have to use it.
Personally, I dunno but I've heard that the restriction won't make a huge difference. If I were you I'd definitely go for the 600 though. Its probably a good idea to take it easy for a bit anyway on your first big bike. Good luck mate.
First of all! have you already passed your test? If you are doing your direct access it doesnt need to be restricted. Other wise if you do the other you have to ride 2 years restricted no matter what age you are. I rode a restricted to 33bhp honda cb500 for two years it was fine. Still faster than most cars. I then had it removed it gave it a bit more top end punch. Glad I did it that way much cheaper than direct access. Its not how good the bike is its how low can you go. Ride hard!
