How do I replace heater matrix on ford mondeo?
Answers:
YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE GLOVE BOX AND MOST OF THE CENTRE CONSOLE.
THEN REMOVE ALL CONNECTORS AND CABLES UNDO THE RETAINING SCREWS AND REMOVE .
YOU NEED A MANUEL AND TO BE A CONTORTIONIST, I REPLACED ONE ON A SIERRA
take it down the local ford garage
You really should treat yourself to a Haynes manual. It isn't a complete bastard like a lot of heater matrices can be, but a step-by-step guide like the Haynes is well worth the £12 or so it's going to cost you.
The heater matrix comes out inside the car, and it's in the box where the heater blower is housed under the centre of the dashboard.
as said its a right pig of a job ,,why do you want to change it ,,
is it leaking ,,very unusual..is just not getting hot ?quite common ,,i had one and the hoses going to it and out from it were blocked solid with crap,,i put a garden hose in the one side ..and just washed it away ,,,just a thought !
since mondeos are so cheap it would prob be more cost effective to buy another mondeo with a good heater an scrap the other.
