Anyone used AMETECH ENGINE RESTORE OIL ??

Answers:
I can never understand why people feel they have to give an opinion about something when they obviously don't understand how it (metal treatments in this case) works, and they obviously have never used it. I've used Ametech Engine Restore Oil on 4 vehicles and it works great and lasts over a year. Why not try some and then have an opinion. If you look at their ebay uk they have 3300 positive feedback ie 99.9% happy, that's amazing.
I buy it from their stand at the UK car shows or from their website www.ametech.co.uk
For what? To try and slow down burning up oil, it may work.

It won't repair or renew an engine.

Use a higher weight, like 10W40 or 50.
Not used it --but its supposed to do the job on engines that burn a lot of oil .
I would just go with a thicker oil like 10w-30 or 10w-40.
It's just an oil thickener. Good for used car salesmen to get the car out of the lot, but in the long run, like more than 30 minutes, all it does is reduce the oil flow to important areas and spaces with tight tolerances. It can reduce oil consumption a little by not letting as much past old rings and worn valve stems.
