Im looking at buying a jaguar xj6 year 96 3.2 sport are there any known problems?

Answers:
A 96 one with a straight 6 engine must get a new oil pump. Its not a fault that occurs regularly but they do have problems with these, and one slip-up from this pump and you need a new engine, sometimes completly new mechanics throughout which means scrap it. The V8 is a superb engine, but sometimes the computers can develop problems with age, which can offer nightmares!
yeah u will look a complete twat

Good luck with your search.
if its the sqre headlight model they are best left alone digital dash problems and abs troubles
Rust is one of the biggest problems for these cars. My dad drives a 96 4.0sport and has had very little trouble with it over the years.
there is 3 left of them, the rest has been put to sleep.
