How do you clean the plastic trim on you car, make it black again.?
Answers:
Back to black which is available at any Halfords stores.
go into your local (or any)car accessory shop & ask for a can of BACK TO BLACK it comes in an aerosol spray about 500ml
Go to Autozone or any auto part store and get something called Back to Black. It is the best! I use it on my Jeep and it makes it look brand new! And it's not expensive. It comes in like a squirt bottle, and it takes a little elbow grease sometimes but it is totally worth it!
Use a black shoe polish, apply with small soft brush and then buff with a cloth to a shine, this will restore the colour. I've tried this on Vauxhall Corsa trim and it worked !
Shoe polish is silicon based and is also waterproof.
try flash dash get it at most service stations
I can't actually remember the name of the product, but I have some in my shed. Will have to look tomorrow since no light out there. But you can buy it from any garage, ask at your local body work shop. Back to Black is INTERIOR cleaner or cockpit cleaner.
I USE WD40. SPRAY ON RAG AND WIPE.
try using a shoe polish the scuff repair type that is a liquid with a sponge on the top easier to apply and buff.
good luck
The shoe polish idea is good, as is light oil, WD40 and alike. In the past I have even used a little clean engine oil on a bit of rag. Same things (maybe not the shoe polish) are good for removing bugs from paintwork too.
The very best cleaner for this available to buy is a fairly inexpensive gel from 'Mer', called (funnily enough) 'exterior trim cleaner', probably available somewhere on the web.
