Can a faulty radiator cause compression to be low on 1 cylinder?
Thanks
Answers:
No
The problem is more likely the other way around - a failed head gasket or warped cylinder head could cause pressure to escape into the cooling system, this may appear to as a fault to the radiator as it will over pressure and cause coolant to leak out through the radiator cap.
This would also cause low pressure on the cylinder.
If the radiator leaked, the engine would overheat. This could cause the cylinder head to warp, or the gasket to fail.
Radiator has nothing to do with compression
No a bad radiator cannot cause low compression on 1 cyclinder.
it could be your inlet - outlet seals
it could be your piston seal
the rad has nout to do with compression it cools the water which circulates around the engine thus cooling it
if it was faulty it would overheat an cause other possible damage too
no.normaly low compression is a bent valve.or maybe piston rings can cause this also
only if it overheats and blows a head gasket :(
get out the manual.
