I am about to order new pads and disc for my VW Corrado, which ones do I go for?
Answers:
Dunno about the brake pads..but why don't you try and contact a VW Corrados car club.I'm sure they could give u all the info you require..
consider ceramic pads. The rotors have no play in it.save your money. All that nonsense for for cars being driven in all out racing conditions NOT anything you are going to do on the street.
Ceramic are what Semi Trucks have.if they can haul down 18000 lbs they should sto your little VW.
Why are you driving so fast and hard?
dont get only drilled cause they get stress cracks from the heat. combo is best but grooved is ok.
if you are very heavy on the brakes i would go for the drilled and grooved discs as they will disperse the heat better.
personally i would look to upgrading the discs to vented discs as they are must better at getting rid of the heat
but you do need to upgrade the callipers as well
You have to go with the type of brake that is on the car. If you have pads, disc's won't work and vice versa
do NOT buy racing ceramic pads. they have to heat up before they are effective. fine in a race when you're braking hard frequently, bad on a highway when you try to slow down on cold pads. street ceramic pads should be good, though check on their expected lifespan versus mettalic pads. i agree with earlier posts - don't waste the money on drilled/grooved disks unless you plan to race.
well the ones what fit best muppet!!
