Turbo Fiat coupe huh ? Good luck with that.
errrr.. what was the question again?
What car is it just out of interest?
A turbocharger is an exhaust gas-driven compressor that increases the power output of a combustion engine. Does this by compressing air that is entering the engine thus increasing the amount of available oxygen.
Check out www.wikipedia.org for a full article and details and stuff!
(And yes they're great to drive! Love it!)
Never had the pleasure but most turbos kick in above mid range so unless you are on private land or can handle the ban I'd keep it pulling high gears at low revs especially with the season and slippery roads. ( But enjoy, loads of good roads with no speed traps!)
i'd a been happy with a small block chevy in an s-10
Whats a boff?
nice car! italian flare as well ! i,ll stick to my hayabusa turbo tho (its a motorbike btw) never had a car beat it yet (that includes the supercars too) but if u see something grey go by u in a blur then i,ll give u a nod lol. seriously tho turbo,s on the whole are bloody fast! mine does 0-60 in a little under 3 seconds & thats if i manage to keep the front wheel down. go for a blast on any bike & ur perception of speed will expand. have fun & drive steady!
Odd cylinder engines tend to be more efficient than even cylinder engines, though not quite as refined as even cylinders (3 cylinders more efficient than 4, 5 cylinders more efficient than 6) this means that they produce better output without wasting input, this means that for the extra 30 bhp doesn't cost you much more in fuel, as for the turbo, the difference between naturally aspirated (non-turbo) and turbo is about 65 bhp well worth having one.
It might be interesting to note that Fiat build Ferrari so .
Nice car BUT I read that if the cam belt needs changing its trouble, engine out job, big money,I think it needs doing around 60k.I hope yours is OK so you can have some real fun,Be Safe.
nah dont be nervous id have one of these ear to ear ;0) with that under my right foot..turbo will only "kick in" if you boot it so drive steady untill you get the feel for the car and then BOOT IT everywhere loadsa fun.
drive trucks 500 bhp plus and they only step out if you abuse the the power in winter conditions so i know what you mean ,,,,,,,step out they do too quite frequently ye hah
all valves do are let air/fuel mixture in and exhaust gasses out. 8v cars are usually ones with 4 cylinders and have 1 inlet and one exhaust valve per cylinder. 16v cars have 2 inlet and 2 exhaust valves per cylinder. 20v cars are usually 5 cylinder engines (a weird arangement mainly found in audi's and vw's) again with 2 inlet and 2 exhaust valves per cylinder. The only benefit of extra valves is the increased ability to deliver air and fuel and to remove exhaust gasses, which usually means a slightly more powerful top end. It is however more things to fix when it goes wrong.
My car has a turbo. Good old diesel Landies. Funny how it's OK to want a car which can exceed the speed limit several times over, and is a totally irresponsible and unnecessary vehicle, but 4X4's mustn't be allowed on the road. Mmm, strange.
I got one too yesterday-- I love it, i'm a bit timid yet though, when the turbo kicks in I get a bit scared, Mine is a 20 valve turbo too I believe they are better than the 16 valve. Give me a bit off time and I may just put my foot down like my husband does. Good luck
