i have an Audi estate and my size 9 boots fit great around the the clutch, brake and accelerator area.
american station wagon froms the 60's or early 70's were the largest,many were as large in the wayback as a toyota pick-up box,and were equipped with engines as large as 7.4 liters

Citreon C5 . The boot space in these is HUGE , I have one and i can get a washing machine ( in it`s polostyrine packaging ) in the boot ant there was still enough room for the weekly shopping !
