Problem with car?
Answers:
dependeing in where you hear it from, its either axle binding from being in 4x4, or a rear brake adjuster thats loose or broken. If it sounds like tire screeching keep it in 2WD on pavement and hard surfaces. This keeps your axles from binding since they spin at different rates while turning. If its an AWD jeep, dont worry about it.
if u'r foot is on the brake, it could be the pads or shoes.(sometimes even without foot on brake).
ttwo reasons, 4x4 dont like going backwards fast, and if your wheels are different sizes on both axles then the wheels which are essentially locked together are tryng to turn at different rates..
if its got shoes on the back they could be picking up on the drum. old landys do it.
try relesaing the diff locks if you can, or select 2wd whilst reversing on city streets.
you have just run over the cat
What is sreaching?
Brake pads touching the disc
