That car has a pushrod engine - the camshaft is at the bottom of the engine, rather than in the head, and operates the valves via pushrods and rocker arms.
The camshaft is driven from the crankshaft, probably by direct gearing, but perhaps by a chain. Either way, it should be maintenance free (but difficult to access if it does cause problems).
Dont know where you are but try ringing a car salvage yard. If they havent got one they can ring round and get one for you. Sunbury Salvage is a good place in Sunbury on Thames or J & C motor spares in West Byfleet. Look in yellow pages for one in your are if youre not nearby to these ones.

It has a small timing chain, this is a push rod engine , which means instead of the being a cam shaft over the valves operating them there's a shaft located near the bottom of the engine which drives rods connected to the valve rockers , no timing belt on these .
