Window tints?

whats your views on tinting windows, should there be a limit on how dark and what window they can go on,

Answers:
Would you drive at night wearing sun glasses?? Of course you wouldn't, but that is what you would be doing if you heavily tinted the windows on your car. My advice is to play it safe and leave the windows as the vehicle manufacturer intended.
There is a legal limit on car-window tinting (UK)
Yeah i like tinted windows, but there is a legal limit, so ask whoever puts them in for you what are the best to get!!
I think it's dangerous. The other driver can't see you and can't see where your looking. Next time your at a stop sign and the other drive has the dark windows, you'll see what I mean.
And I guess it depends on where your located. In Washington State, you don't need them
I love the idea of total window tints but it aint legal in uk
Car window tinting, by its nature, reduces the visible light transmittance through a car's windows. This can be problematic at night, when motorists need to be able to see through the windows of other vehicles in order to spot hazards which would otherwise be obstructed. Therefore, I think that it's only commonsense to have such limitations.

Also, let's not forget that the police also have to be able to identify the passengers in a vehicle.

In many countries, there are government rules and regulations in place to ensure darkness levels of films do not present a danger to motorists.

In the UK, the windcreen must have a minimum of 75% visible light transmission (VLT) and 70% for all other windows within visible range of the driver. Interestingly, the back side windows and rear viw windows have no limitation on VLT.

In the United States, the federal Department of Transportation specifies a minimum of 70% VLT for window tinting on the windshield and the windows to the immediate left and right of the driver.

In Canada, automobile tinting laws are set at the province level.

For a full list of European countries' regulation of tinting see pdf in source below.

Hope this answers your q..! ;)
In the UK there is a legal limit on how dark you can go on the windscreen and front-side windows. You can go as dark as you like behind the front doors - after all the worst you can do is turn your car into a van.
Window tints are for chavs and pikeys.
I think you should be able to have them as dark as you want and on any window apart from da windscreen.
no because a tinit is a tint so you might as well go darker and the law is you can have it on all the windows bar the front windscreen and the 2 front side doors!!
why bother a friend done this in a week had two windows smashed because some scum thought he had some thing worth nicking in his car he now regrets having them done and is going to change them back.
YES I THINK THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED FOR A NUMBER OF REASONS
