Where abouts in the car does anti-freeze go?
Answers:
Radiator, or more likely the plastic expansion bottle for the radiator.
You sound a bit naive in mechanical matters so don't tackle this job. Any garage worth it's salt will check your radiator fluid and find out if it NEEDS antifreeze. I bet it doesn't.
DON'T TRY TO REMOVE THE FILLER CAP IF THE ENGINE IS WARM- I'm actually quite surprised no-one else has warned you about this.
Look in your handbook before someone gives you duff info.
It depends upon the car that you have. but it's really easy to do if you follow the instructions.
If you haven't got a handbook, do a search on the internet
The radiator!
In the radiator along with some water. Refer to the manual.
In the radiator or at least it used to.
The anti-freeze would go in the radiator. It's the first thing you see when you open the hood. Right behind the grille.
I usually keep mine in the Boot or "Trunk"
or some spray in the glovebox!
you need to put some in your radiatior along with water!
It go's in the cooling system. In the winter you will also need winter screenwash to stop that freezing too.
In the refridgeradiator.
in your radiator. It mixes with water to a proportion as listed on the antifreeze or your car handbook.
in the radiator. Never put a full bottle in only a few capfuls however refer to instructions on the bottle and your car to find out the radiator location. On new cars the radiator cap may may be colour coded yellow for easy identification.
Anti-freeze solution goes into the radiator
It goes in the same place as the gas, silly. Liquids that work inside the enginee, you know, oil, brake fluid, yellow cooler stuff, you got to put in through the gas tank thing. It's just called the "gas" tank cause most people are to dumb to check their fluids regular like me, and you mostly just put gas in there. The other, windshield washy stuff you got to put in under the hood cause there's no engin to pull it all the way from the back
IT GOES IN THE COOLING SYSTEM
go to Kwik fit and they will do a test to see if it is required or not
Do nort try and top it up yourself as
a) you will overfill it if you don't drain out the old
and
b) you don't really know where it goes
watch out for some of the duff answers saying to add it in with the gas (petrol)
The radiator but don't put it in when the engine is hot!!
