How to remove small scratches?

Some idiots pelted my car with eggs, and the shells have left small scratches to the paintwork.

Answers:
There is no way to remove them . i work for a taxi company in teesside and the cars are always getting pelted with eggs , they leave i very distinct mark that cracks the paint from underneath ( i think it has something to do with the enamel on the egg shell ) you can try all the option`s people are giving you on here but i will tell you for free that they simply will not work ! a respray is the only option ! ( these little bastards who throw the eggs don`t realise how much damage they cause )
buff them out
T Cut will take them off! You can buy it in any garage.
try wax 1st, if not, then either paint cleaning clay bar or polish compound and rewax it .
good luck
Unfortunately, if you look close at the scratches, you will probably find that instead of scratches the paint is actually chipped. Something about the shell hitting the paint actually makes small chips and will likely need re-painting. You can try to polish it out with rubbing compound, but my guess is that it will not do any good. Probably time to call your insurance company.
use T Cut
Wash,
Dry,
T-cut,
Buff,
Wash,
Dry,
Polish.

Try this in that order, may seem a lot but it works!
I worked as car valeter as a kid.
have a look in Halfords, I got a thing that looks like a lipstick, you rub it over the scratches, comes up a treat :)
Simple little job.

Don't use T-cut that's just a little extreme. Just a good quality polish will do the job just fine with a little gentle rubbing.
It will take a few minutes that all.
GET SOME FINISHING BODY FILLER VERY FINE USE A SMALL PAINTBRUSH WITH A FINE POINT AND TOUCH IN THE SCRATCH WIPE ACROSS THE SCRACH WITH A CLEAN CLOTH LEAVING THE FILLER IN THE SCRATCH LET IT DRY.
USING THE PAINTBRUSH SPRAY THE COLOUR OF THE CAR INTO THE LID TO GET A SMALL POOL OF PAINT.
PAINT THE SCRATCH LEAVE TO DRY AND HARDEN .
AND TEECUT THE WHOLE PANEL AND POLISH .
CHEAPER THAN A RESPRAY.
You can get a polish called G3,its good stuff for scratches,im in the motor trade and know many people who use it..gd luck
t cut will do it
have you got a company in your area called Chips away like i have in essex , if you are not confident enough to use t-cut or just can not be bothered, then these are the people for you.
try looking them up on the web, because sometimes they are franchised out so not allways called chips away.
good luck
you can either buff them out with rubbing compound or repaint the car.
