Mechanics help needed, i have a citroen saxo 1.5diesel, its a manual?

i have had a diesel leak which is all fixed, the power steering keeps dying and the battery light keeps coming on unless i keep the engine revved up, which i cant if im going round corners, anyway it looks like there is diesel in the alternator, is there anyway//anything i could spary on it to get it out?? or would i need to replace the alternator?? is there anything else it could be??

Thansk in advance

Answers:
The fuel pump on this car is directly above the alternator. The fuel leaks form the pump and destroys the windings inside the alternator. Before replacing the alternator you need to make sure the fuel leak is repaired.

You could try WD40 but its a long shot
YEA, SELL THAT PIECE OF CRAP BEFORE YOU HAVE TO SPEND BIG MONEY ON IT..
sounds more like a bad fan belt as your power steering pump and alternator are run off the one belt . it quite possible the belt is slipping if coated in old fuel it is starting to break up 'so get it replaced as soon as you can before it does break and leave you stranded
Sounds obvious but have you checked the power steering fluid level?
