My stupid ex got my car locked in the car park of Tony 'Hacienda' Wilson's building one night. They had to unscrew all the bolts of the barrier. The second option would have been to lift it over - it was a Mini so not that tricky really.

Another way is to smash through the barrier
if you have got a mate (on the outside)get him to drive up to the ticket machine, reverse out ,give you the ticket.. hey presto you have only been in the car park for 5 minutes. bit of a hassle, but worth it if its one of those f-ing stupid £20 odd a day ones. gotta watch the cameras with all dodgy activities though.
Park in supermarket parkings, some of them don't have barriers.
