I'm looking to purchase a used car - advice on best model?

At the moment I have a Chrysler Voyager but am now downsizing due to its huge cost. I'm looking for best car in insurance costs, petrol consumption while needing it to be safe and still wanting it to be small yet spacious enough for three children. Am I asking for too much :-))? Price in the region of up £5000.

honda's are very good cars
Peugeot 206 diesel it just keep going, never gives any problem.
Get the vehicle properly checked out by a good motoring organisation before purchasing, it may add to your costs, but it will save you a lot of anguish afterwards.
Thats quite car to come out of! I loved my Voyager when I had it.

The best solutions to look at would be Vauxhall Zafira, Renault Megane Senic and Citroen Picasso. All three of these are competatively priced in the used market and also are great with children, consumption. Be careful though, at £5,000 most cars will have thier problems so I would advise you to build in the cost of an RAC type inspection before handing over your hard earned cash. Well I have a Renault Megane Scenic, although not the new shape one, but I find that it is very good on fuel,the insurance for me was very cheap even though I am considered a young driver and the road tax costs are not too bad either.

Honda Accord, most reliable and best customer satisfaction for the last 10 or 12 years now they keep going and going and arent that expensive of a car and you get alot for what you pay for. The resale on these upholds better than any other make and model just pick your color and BUY

I had this problem once when downsizing from a Rover 214si 5 Door. We were a family of 9 & I so loved the car. It had taken us on many family holidays to Bradford being so spacious & economical.
If it's you & 3 kiddies with no husband?I would suggest a wheelbarrow if the kids are small enough. With you pushing!
