Does anyone what a Fuel Solenoid is?

I have a Nissan Micra K11 1993.

Answers:
It is an electromagnetic switch or a relay that opens or closes when you turn on the contact, or in simple terms , it is an electrical switch that shuts of the fuel when you switch of the ignition of the car.
Yes its the switch that unlocks the petrol flap.
When the car is locked you shouldnt be able to open the doors or the fuel flap.
The fuel soilnoid is the thingie that locks and unlocks the flap when the car is unlocked.
when you turn off the ignition it stops fuel flow to the carburettor, it prevents dieseling on leanburn engines.

they rarely break, so check the wire first.

and rich S. you fail autos 101. schmuck.
the solenoid is a little electromagnet that, when energised, hauls a little metal bar out of the way of a little valve, thus opening the valve. When the valve is open fuel can flow. When you cut the current to the solenoid, the valve shuts and the fuel stops flowing. Solenoid and valve will all be in one little packet (aka "solenoid valve")
I'm not sure but I do know the car won't go if it's broke.

Been there done that.
the fuel solenoid shuts the fuel off to the fuel pump when the key is off. depends on where the fuel solenoid is on it normally they are usually easy to change
Yes I do.
