the warning light only comes on after a while.checked all liquids ok comes on car loses power 4 a second .volvo dealers can not help car 2 old ,4 hand book.

hi that usaully means a problem with your cat or lamda sensor ..
my next door neighbour is experiancing this prob with her astra (99) because she didnt get it sorted then it started cutting out all the time when changing gear so get it sorted she got it sorted in th end and some sensor on a shaft wanted cleaning but it still gets dirty and she has it cleaned every so often!! hope this helps
