My vauxhall vectra is lossing power, when this happens the rev counter and temp gauge stops working can any one

Answers:
It may be a faulty crankshaft sensor, this is quite a common fault on the vectra's. The best thing is to take it to the dealers and get them to check the fault code to confirm this. A good web site to get info on Vauxhall problems is. www.vauxhallownersnetwork.co.u. there is a mine of information there, and the people are very helpful.
Your Q. is short on detail, so I'll asume a petrol engine with fuel injection and that losing power means it actually continues to drive but at low speed etc to get you home? suggest it is an electrical relay common to ignition, rev. counter and temp gauge. I am somewhat surprised that other gauges don't go faulty. What is your fuel gauge doing?
Sounds like a loose connection in your electrics..does it cut out completely?
check your engine earth strap thry fray sometimes
