Does anyone else have this problem with a VW Golf Mk V 1.9 TDi DSG (automatic/tiptronic) gearbox?
The VW Main Dealer where I bought it new and have it serviced told me 1. That the Mk V has a tendency to do this when being run in; 2. (more recently) That all diesels do this, particularly if driven too gently, as the oily unburnt fuel builds up in the exhaust system and has to be ejected. 3. That every few weeks I should drive it hard in a low gear to give it a good clear out.
Well, no matter how I drive it, it still does the same thing and always under the same conditions. When I put my foot down it sometimes takes three or four seconds to respond. Has anyone else had the same problem with this car?
Answers:
it isnt a fault, just chill, the car is normal. I have a Jaguar diesel and thats just the same. If I drive gently, and then boot it, the people behind think they have just smoked 20 bensons!
are you running it in red stuff if not why not
