What happened to the lorry? that was fitted with a Spitfire engine and was seen in Moor Lane in about 1975.?

This might have been sponsored by BP because it was seen in the forecourt of what was then Britannic House, opposite the fire station in Moor Lane, London EC2.

Answers:
I dont know about a lorry but i remember somebody fitting a Merlin Spitfire engine into a Rolls Royce car.Its probably in a collection somewhere. Its not the first time it has happened.Count Zbrowski [sp?] fitted a Maybach aero engine into a Mercedes chassis and built a 4 seat body onto the chassis. The car became known as Chitty Bang Bang.He made others with single seater body work that he raced at Brooklands..Todays jet engines tend to be used in Land Speed Record cars and there are some jet powered dragsters too.
It rocketed to the moon lol
Last seen in a dog fight with a Volkswagen on the M25
it was scraped to fast and unstable i am almost sure it was built by leyland motors so you could chek it out online
