What does minimum ground clearence means on a vehicle?

Answers:
it means any part under thre car must be at least a certain distance from the ground, in Australia it is 100mm which means any part of the car must be at least 100mm from the ground except for the wheels obviously..
It is the lowest point under the vehicle, not counting the tires.

Hummer H2s and H3s raise their bodies up but the rear axle is still close to the ground. Whereas the real Hummer raises everything under the chassis.

Getting bigger tires increases the min ground clearance.
This is the calculated distance that a vehicle (Goods, Passenger, Cars or Vans) will or must maintain even when fully laden. The calculas takes into account such things as type approval, springs, length of subject and carrying capacity. For Goods and Passenger vehicles contact your nearest Traffic Commissioner or VOSA agent. For cars and vans contact your main distibutor for the vehicle in question.
