Use of old Black Cabs?
Taxidriver have to change there Cabs,as new Emissions Law orders that more or less.
Anywhy.there is a large Room for carrying Children or going Shopping.Isn't it?

But if you're asking is it possible to buy & run a black cab as a private vehicle, then yes: Stephen Fry used to own one (can't say if he still does)
Why not buy one? One of the old FX4 series would make a practical kid carrier.If you can find a pre1973 vehicle you will be able to claim free road tax too as that is the cut off year for classic vehicles.It would be more than sensible in the London area as i would think that garages used to dealing with the Austins are easier to find.

You wouldn't want an old black cab as taxi company's squeeze every last day of life out of them, then rob whats left for spares for other cabs. The chances of getting a good one without paying a high price is slim.
