What should I check when buying a used diesel Jeep?

Answers:
I have owned one since trading in my 4.0l petrol.

The only annoying things I have found are the Brake disks have had to be replaced 3 times in 60,000 miles, they are crap quality disks. Check if they are okay.

The Air-Con needs gassing every 2 years or so.

The fuel consumption in my experience on the Turbo diesel is averaging 21mpg, not the 29/30 mpg advertised. It also has a 6000 mile servicing interval.

Other than these issues it has been reliable and a comfortable car.
The inside leg - I bought some diesel jeans, and had to have them taken up

MAYBE CAUSE THEY ARE JUNK AND PARTS COST AN ARM AND A LEG.
a range rover
,You should check every thing ie body condition, tyres, under side for any corrosion, sound of the engine, smoke from the exhaust, wear on drivers seat will give you an indication of how it as been treated, service records, get it up on a ramp and inspect the underside, better still take a qualified person with you to check it out and give it a thorough road test
So far they are bullet proof
I'm in the fleet leasing business and we have some and not a one has had any issues
