Has anybody actually ever sold a car by advertising it in the car window?
Answers:
Yeah, when I lived in a small town and everyone knew everyone else.
I sold 2 of my cars with a for sale sign in the window. I parked them at a very busy intersection parking lot by the freeway. Actually sold one same day i parked it for sale.
No but we did buy one that way. It was a little pick up truck that my husband used for work. He LOVED it. It was the best $500 we spent!
yes
Soitenly, nyuk, nyuk. I once bought a car from someone who advertised it that way. Good vehicle too.
That's the only way I have sold cars.
Sure. I have bought and sold cars this way. You just have to expect your audience to be limited and be prepared to accept the calls or walk up traffic you get. It seems amazing how separated everyone has become from the selling process through the use of the internet.
yes i did this in april and got back £100 more than i paid for it and i had it 18 months, plus irt only took three days 2 sell
Yes.
I put the advert In the window of my R reg vectra and I sold it to my neigbours son , and he gave me his renault 19 which I sold to my brother in law, I ended up making an extra £200.
YEP great way to sell cars !!!!!!!
yes my husband has sold many cars this way its all about where you park and making the sign big so it can be read by people passing
Yes I have, I put the advert in the window went shoping someone came over an brought the car.
Yes.
It really can work.
yeah i sold one of my cars that way. took a while though.ever thought about selling it on ebay?thats where i got my car from.
good luck
I have, it takes a bit longer, but be warned not to put your home number on the sheet as you will get loony people that will phone you at anytime of the night and also beware of " a person phoning you and offer you a better price if you hold the car for them and ask if a courier can pick it up" as this is a rip off you won't see your car again.
